Project History In November 2007, the Hospice of Charles County Board of Directors voted to launch a campaign to build a much-needed Hospice House in Charles County. In 2008, Hospice effectively secured a physical location for the Hospice House off of Davis Road in Waldorf. This five acre piece of wooded property is across the street from North Point High School and provides excellent accessibility to the majority of Charles County residents. Hospice also secured a $100,000 matching bond bill from the state of Maryland, as well as a concrete grant from Chaney Enterprises. The Hospice House design is now in the permitting stages and will likely move to break ground in the summer of 2009.
